Due to the changes we have experienced in the last few years, Sue decided to take a year off running the Accommodation side of the business.
Overnight Stays
In 2024 there may be no overnight and 2 day accommodation packages offered. Camping at Fordsdale is planned to recommence next year, this includes general bush Camping too.
Fordsdale Camping in 2025
The property will be four-wheel-drive access only with swags and tents as the main form of Camping for guest visiting Fordsdale Farmstay.
The attraction of Fordsdale is that it’s secluded and big spaces between the campsites lots and lots of privacy, people are truly in nature.
Animals at Fordsdale
Over the next few years we hope to expand our ball Goat and guess to the property will get to see all the Goats. During hitting time we usually end up with a few potty Goats, so we have the opportunity to bottlefeed some of our babies.
Trail Riding
Trail Riding will continue as the Arabian horses are a key attraction at Fordsdale. Visitor camping on the property are welcome to book a Trail Ride in advance before arriving on the property. Fordsdale is excited and ready to cater for Tail Riding guests.
In the past we were offering some quite adventurous Trail rides but now we are catering mainly for beginner riders and children. We still won’t take complete beginner children on a Trail Ride, but we do have a really fun experience called a Pony Club Experiance where a child can’t experience riding a horse for the first time and doing the novelty activities that they would do if they went to Pony Club.
Family Fun
We have had several parents to first allow their children to do a Pony Club Experiance and then afterwards go on a Trail Ride, with the whole family participating. This is a fun experience for campers to come and do on the property, probably during the school holidays but it can be done at any time.
