For the remainder of 2023, Fordsdale Horse Riding will only be offering trail rides to intermediate and experienced riders.

Escape to the country for an unforgettable adventure with Fordsdale Horse Riding and horse trail riding. Enjoy the relaxation on our picturesque 1,000-acre property in the heart of the Lockyer Valley. Choose from a variety of packages and options. Make new friends. Enjoy our meals including hearty breakfasts, picnic lunches, traditional billy teas and BBQ’s by the fire.

Trail Riding

Enjoy a trail ride around our picturesque 1,000 acre property at Fordsdale in the heart of the Lockyer Valley. We can take groups of friends or families, young and old, on our daily 60 min, 90 min, and 2 hour ride which is conducted at 3 different time slots. 9.00am, 11.30am and 2.00pm. Children who are younger than 16 years will need to have had riding lessons with an instructor at another riding facility before riding with us as we do not have an arena at our property.

Maximum of 8 people per group.
Maximum weight limit is 80kg, we breed a fine bodied horse known as the Arabian. We only take children who are 8+ years on the trail rides.

Fordsdale Horse Riding Overnight Adventure

Our overnight horse riding package is designed for individuals wanting a fun-packed adventure. Please inquiry about our Accommodation.
2-2.30 hour adventure ride first afternoon
2-2.30 hour adventure ride next morning
Breakfast is a country-style cooked breakfast
Dinner is an Aussie-style BBQ with the property owners
(with a few drinks around the camp fire)
This package is designed for adults but we do take children who are experienced riders at half price.
Arrive at 12.00 for lunch on first day, and lunch before going home on your second day

Fordsdale Family Horse Riding Holiday

We offer fully catered horse riding holiday packages. Guests can stay in our accommodation and enjoy horse riding each day. Relax and enjoy six meals plus two nights accommodation as well as your selection of riding opportunities, all included in the package price, of $420 for adults, $210 for children and $210 for non riding adults.
Adventure Options (choose 1 or 2)
Riding lesson in the round yard or some obstacles followed by a short trail ride, lunch at the guest house, then an afternoon lesson or obstacles or trail ride, or
Trail ride in morning, lunch at the guest house, then an afternoon trail ride on an alternative trail. When we have young children the obstacles near camp is the preferred choice.

Pony Club Experience

We offer children a one hour Pony Club experience riding around cones, collecting flags from poles and stepping over logs/jumps like they would do if they were at pony club. Maximum of 4 per group. $55 per child
